'Substantial' cannabis farm dismantled by police after Preston drugs raid

An "expensive" and "professional" cannabis farm is being dismantled by police after it was discovered during a drugs raid in Preston.

Police discovered a "substantial" cannabis farm on Chain Caul Way in Preston last night (April 1).

Officers described the set up as "expensive" and "professional", with seven tents being used to grow a large amount of cannabis.

Pictures from the scene show rows of plants under artificial lights and an extensive ventilation system.

The tents are now being forensically examined before being dismantled and removed by police.

A spokesperson for Lancashire Police said: "Last night #Team5IR located a substantial cannabis grow on Chain Caul Way, Preston.

"It was a very expensive/professional setup with seven tents that are now being forensically examined, dismantled and removed/disposed."

Police have not yet disclosed whether any arrests have been made at this time.
