Volunteers monitoring a stretch of road in Chorley recorded a number of motoring offences.
Three members of Community Road Watch stood at the roadside in Carr Lane, along with a PCSO from the area.
A laser gun was used to monitor the speed of motorists driving in the 20mph zone.
From 1.45pm to 2.45pm, a total of 127 vehicles travelled past the volunteers.
The results showed 42 speeding motorists with the fastest recorded at 39mph – almost twice the speed limit.
Three drivers were caught without seatbelts and one motorist was using a mobile phone at the wheel.
Vehicle details were taken and offences will be dealt with.
