Police have caught six speeding drivers in a crackdown in Leyland.
Officers from the neighbourhood police team carried out enforcement on Saturday in areas they said had been highlighted by the community as a road safety concern.
Police were at Church Road and then at Ulnes Walton Lane, where they were enforcing the 30mph limits at both sites.
In the two hours officers were there, they stopped and issued tickets to six speeding motorists, with the highest recorded speed being 45mph.
A message on South Ribble Police’s Facebook page said: “All motorists that we stopped were also required to carry out a roadside breath test and checks were made to make sure that all the vehicles were taxed, insured and MOT’d.
“I am pleased to say that no further offences such as no insurance and drink driving were found.”
