A multi millionaire businessman attacked in his home by robbers is placing full page adverts in 12 newspapers in a bid to catch the gang.

Jason Cropper has already stumped up a £250,000 cash reward for anyone who gives valuable information about the robbers who subjected him to a terrifying attack as he let his cat out.

The 48-year-old suffered injuries after he was subjected to a prolonged attack with various weapons at his property on Goosefoot Lane in Samlesbury in August last year.

Mr Cropper was doused in bleach and had his head covered with a towel as the offenders demanded to know where he kept his valuables.

He suffered head injuries after being hit and dragged along the ground.

The men fled with two gold bars worth around £50,000, three watches and £70,000 cash, and made off in his Range rover which was later found torched.

Mr Cropper has turned to desperate measures because they have been on the run for six months.

Today he said: “They don’t have the decency to show who they are, scurrying around in the dark with masks on attacking people.

“I’m obsessing over it and it isn’t nice. It’s like mental gymnastics.

“At some point they will be brought to justice.”

The £60,000 car was later found on fire and abandoned nearby.

Mr Cropper, who is the former director of e-cigarette firm Wicked Cigarettes, was treated in the Royal Preston Hospital after the burglary.

He has invested £20,000 into security at his four-bedroomed property since his ordeal.

Call police on 101 or Mr Cropper’s investigation helpline 0800 158 9230.
