A woman has been told to pay out £370 and handed a restraining order after she admitted racially aggravated abuse and criminal damage.

Donna Hall, 33, of Birch Road, Chorley, changed her plea to guilty at Chorley Magistrates’ Court after earlier denying the offences.

The court heard how she used threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour on October 21 last year and destroyed a £400 Mercedes Benz belonging to her victim.

Prosecutors said both crimes were racially aggravated.

Magistrates handed Hall a restraining order preventing her from contacting her victim until January 5, 2015.

They fined her £100 for the abuse, £150 for the criminal damage, and told her to pay £100 compensation and a £20 victim surcharge.

But magistrates chose not to make an order for court costs, due to her lack of means.
