Rebekah Brooks, a former governor at a Preston school, has been cleared of hacking by a jury.

The ex-News International boss was acquitted of all charges yesterday following a lengthy trial at the Old Bailey in London.

Mrs Brooks was appointed a governor at Fulwood Academy in September 2009 but resigned in 2012. Ex-collegue Andy Coulson was convicted of phone hacking.
