One of Preston’s most prolific thieves has been jailed for breaching a restraining order against his ex-partner - while still subject to a suspended jail term for similar offences committed against her, including an assault.

Anthony Dickinson, 48, was found at an address in Preston with his victim on March 6.

Dickinson, of Church Street, Preston, appeared before Preston Magistrates’ Court where he admitted the offences.

The bench activated his suspended jail term, and he was imprisoned for a total of 32 weeks.

He was also ordered to pay a £100 surcharge.

Magistrates said he had a flagrant disregard for court orders.

Dickinson’s other notable crimes include stealing irreplaceable vintage instruments from a band days before they were due to play a festival in 2013.
