Preston man wanted in connection with knifepoint robbery in Ashton

Police want to speak to a 31-year-old man in connection with an alleged knifepoint robbery in Ashton.

Ian Fairley, from Preston, is wanted following the alleged robbery in Bridge Road on April 16.

Police are warning the public not to approach Fairley, who is described as 5ft 5in tall, of slim build, with blonde hair, blue eyes and a one-inch horizontal scar on the left of his forehead.

The force is urging members of the public who know where he is to get in touch.

It said immediate sightings of Fairley should be reported immediately to police by calling 999.

"I would ask anyone who knows where Fairley is to get in touch with us as soon as possible," said PC Azam Khan.

"I would also appeal directly to Fairley to do the right thing and contact police himself."

Anyone with information should contact police on 101 quoting log number 1450 of April 16 or 999 for immediate sightings.
