A man from Preston is believed to have gone missing with his dog, say police.

Andrew Scott, 53, left an address on New Hall Lane on Saturday morning and has not been seen by friends, family, or the police since.

A neighbour reported possibly seeing the 53-year-old walking his dog - a black Labrador cross called "Rufus" - in the Moor Nook area at around 4-5pm.

Sgt. Hesketh said on behalf of Lancashire Police: "Andrew has been reported missing and officers are currently trying to find him to make sure that he is safe and well.

"He left an address in Preston on Saturday morning and has not been seen by friends, family, or the police since.

"During our enquiries, a neighbour believes that they may have seen him between 4-5pm in the Moor Nook area of Preston walking his dog.

"If you have seen Andrew or have any information regarding his whereabouts, please get in touch."
