The bench ordered the diamorphine and cannabis to be forfeited under the Misuse of Drugs Act, and he must pay a £32 victim surcharge.

The law divides drugs into three classes – A, B and C, with Class A drugs, including heroin, carrying the heaviest penalties.

Offenders face up to seven years in prison, or a fine, or both.
