Fylde man Paul Ellerker, 30, of no fixed abode, is accused of his manslaughter.

He did not enter a plea to the charge during an appearance at Preston Crown Court due to concerns about his fitness to plead.

A provisional trial date was set for December 10 by Judge Andrew Woolman, with a further plea hearing scheduled on September 4.
