Two units of Lancashire Police - the Preston Task Force and Preston Neighbourhood Policing Team - have been busy cracking down on drugs activity after concerns were raised from communities across the city.
During lockdown, and in the weeks following the lifting of restrictions, raids have taken place at homes in Plungington, Ashton, Deepdale and Fishwick.
The following are all of the successful raids in which police targeted those suspected of involvement in the cultivation, supply and sale of illegal drugs in Preston.
5. July 2, Hall Street, Ashton
A 37-year-old man is charged with possession of a Class A drug with intent to supply following a drugs raid in Hall Street. A 35-year-old woman, from Preston, is also arrested on suspicion of possessing a Class A drug with intent to supply, but is released under investigation.
6. July 1, Ashton/Plungington
Preston Task Force execute a Misuse of Drugs Act warrant at a home and seize a
significant amount of Class A drugs, as well as cash and weapons.
7. June 27, Plungington
Preston Task force executed yet another drugs warrant in the Plungington area leading to more drugs being found, thanks to sniffer dog PD Jet
8. June 26, Eldon Street, Plungington
Preston Task Force executed a drugs warrant in Eldon Street where a quantity of drugs was seized from the home, as well as this motorbike which had been identified by residents as causing anti social behaviour in the area.
