A market trader has been cleared of allegations he sexually assaulted a customer whose nipple he pierced.

The jury at Preston Crown Court took around an hour to find Jeff Stables not guilty of the charges.

A girl, who cannot be identified, had claimed the professional body piercer sexually assaulted her on a city market stall after she returned to his stall for ointment, following a piercing procedure in May last year.

Stables, 29, of Britannia Drive, Ashton, Preston, had denied touching a woman and causing a woman to engage in sexual activity, whilst working at the Beauty Spot stall on Preston Market.

He sighed in relief when the verdicts were given.
