Police say they are very concerned for the welfare of a man who may be injured after going missing after the car he was driving was involved in a crash.

At around 1:45pm today David Horay, 47, crashed into a tree on Barton Road, Lancaster, while driving a silver Vauxhall Astra car.

It is thought he has left the scene on foot carrying some black and white packages and jewellery boxes. He may be in Morecambe.

PC Natalie Craddock from Lancaster Police said: “We, along with David’s family, are very concerned for his welfare and would ask him to get in touch immediately.

“He could need medical attention following the collision and so it’s important we find him.

“If you have seen him or know where he is, please contact us immediately. Similarly, if David himself sees this appeal I would urge him to contact us or a family member so that we know he is okay.”

Mr Horay is described as white, 5ft 10ins, of slim build and bald. He is believed to be wearing black puffer jacket, black joggers and black Nike trainers.
