Police underwater unit resume search for missing man at Preston Docks
The search continues for a man whose car was found abandoned at Preston Docks on the day of his disappearance nine days ago.
The North West Police Underwater Search and Marine Unit were spotted searching the depths of Preston Docks again yesterday (February 11).
The specialist underwater search team has previously been sighted searching the water since Shaun Horan's disappearance nine days ago (February 3).
A spokesperson for Lancashire Police confirmed that it was "quite possible" that police divers had resumed their search yesterday.
CCTV shows Mr Horan parking his light blue Toyota Auris at the 'Green Frog' car park in Mariner's Way at 6.30am on Monday, February 3.
The footage then shows Mr Horan - wearing dark clothes and bright green trainers - get out of his car and walk along the dock basin towards DFS.
He had been carrying a small, white carrier bag and smoking a cigarette at the time.
He has not been seen or heard from since.
Officers have been searching the Docks since Mr Horan's car was found at Preston Docks on the morning of his disappearance.
It is not yet known if anything was found in yesterday's search.
In a previous missing person's appeal, a police spokesperson said: "We would appeal to anyone who sees Shaun or has information on where he may be, to get in touch.
"We would also urge Shaun himself to contact us if he sees this appeal."
Shaun is described as white, 5ft 8ins, slim to medium build, with dark hair.
He usually wears a dark jacket and jeans.
Officers are urging anyone who might have seen Mr Horan around the time of his disappearance to come forward.
Police said they are particularly keen to speak with dog walkers and runners who were around the Docks early on Monday morning.Anyone with information should contact police on 101 quoting log 0212 of February 3.
