Police dog 'Zorro' and his handler tracked miles across snowy fields and as the search went towards Colne Road, an officer was stopped by a taxi driver who enquired if he was the man who had ordered a taxi going to Bradford.

The taxi was followed and when the customer eventually got into the taxi he was arrested on suspicion of burglary.

The 19-year-old man, from Bradford, remains in custody.

Insp. Andy Ainsworth, from Pendle Police, said: “This arrest came as a result of good police work and I would like to thank all involved.
