Police search underway after 16-year-old boy goes missing in Preston

A search is underway after a 16-year-old boy was reported missing in Preston.

Police are looking for Kye Botting, originally from Swindon, who was last seen in Preston at around 4pm on Monday (July 27).

The youngster also has links to Lancaster and Cumbria and might have travelled to those areas.

He is described as white, with a stocky build and medium length brown hair styled with a short back and sides.

He was last seen wearing a black hoodie, a red jacket, grey pants, grey trainers and a black cap.

A police spokesman said: "We are becoming increasingly concerned about the welfare of 16-year-old Kye Botting, who has been reported missing in Preston.

"Kye is originally from the Swindon area but also has links to both the Cumbria and Lancaster area.

"We are concerned for his welfare and are appealing for your help to find Kye."
