Police are appealing for information after a man approached a schoolgirl in Preston and made inappropriate sexual comments last week.
At around 4.15 pm on Monday, November 2, the 11-year-old victim was walking alone along Brook Street, Preston wearing her school uniform when she was approached by a man.
He initially made conversation with her before making suggestive sexual remarks. She then ran off.
DC Paul Taylor from Preston CID said: “This was an extremely frightening ordeal for this young girl to have gone through when she was simply on her way home from school. Incidents like this are rare and we are determined to find the man responsible but we need the public’s help.
“Did you see a man talking to a schoolgirl in the area at the time? Do you have any details about this incident? I would urge anyone with information at all about this to get in touch with us.”
The man is described as having a dark complexion, around 30 years old, approximately 5ft 11ins, of stocky build with short dark receding hair. He was wearing a black hooded top and grey jogging bottoms.
