Police respond to sudden death of a man in Fulwood this morning

Police are investigating the sudden death of a man in Fulwood this morning (Thursday, December 10).

Ambulance crews rushed to the scene after a man was found collapsed in the driveway of a semi-detached home in Black Bull Lane at around 9.20am.

Paramedics gave the man CPR but despite their best efforts, he has been pronounced dead at the scene.

A police spokesman said: "It is not believed to be suspicious circumstances at this time."

A police investigation is ongoing to establish how the man has died.

It is the second sudden death to be investigated by police in Lancashire this morning.

In Blackpool, officers were called to Cross Street at around 7.25am after a man was found deceased in the street.

North West Ambulance Service said the death was initially being treated as unexplained, but Lancashire Police have since confirmed that it is believed to have been a medical episode.

A police spokesman said: "The death of the man is a suspected medical episode and so not believed to be suspicious."
