A man alleged to have assaulted a female member of staff after being told the bar at Preston Railway Station was shut is being sought by police.
Officers have issued a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the incident at around 8.45pm on Sunday, March 15.
British Transport Police say the woman was pushed into tables and chairs in a “totally unprovoked” assault and was left shaken by her ordeal.
“When she told him that the bar wasn’t open, he became verbally abusive and as she walked away from him, he pushed her into furniture,” said PC Peter Wilcock.
“This was totally unprovoked. The member of staff was simply doing her job and was left very shaken and upset by what happened. Behaviour like this will not be tolerated.”
