The Task Force discovered the cannabis farm in a flat in Ribbleton, where dozens of plants were nearly ready to be cropped for sale on Preston's streets.

It said a man found inside the flat has been 'dealt with for the offences'. The Task Force has been approached for more details.

The flat was raided after a tip-off from the community and is the latest in a series of raids targeting those responsible for the cultivation and supply of drugs in the city.

The Task Force tweeted: "Preston NPT Task Force have attended an address in Ribbleton this morning acting on more community intelligence.

"The flat had been converted to grow Cannabis and was almost ready to be cropped.

"This again is a result of information given to us by people, like yourselves, who have had enough of watching this occur in their community."

"We will act, and you will see the direct results," added the Task Force.
