A man was seriously injured after he was attacked by a hefty topless robber and his ginger-haired accomplice on Saturday night.
Police said the victim, a 23-year-old man, was walking through Avenham Park in Preston with his friend at 3am when they were approached by two men who punched them.
The men stole a black Samsung S3 mobile phone before running off.
The victim suffered fractures to his face and a small bleed on the brain.
He has since been discharged from hospital.
DC Rob Costigan of Preston CID said: “This was an unprovoked attack on two friends who were making their way home after a night out.
“Thankfully the man is recovering from his injuries and there are no adverse effects.”
Now the police are hunting for two men and a spokesman said one of the robbers was topless and just wearing dark shorts.
They described him as a large-built white man, in his mid 20s, around 6ft in height with short blonde hair.
The second robber is described as a white, ginger man, of slim build, around 5ft 8ins tall and in his mid 20s.
He was wearing a black sports jacket and black baggy jogging bottoms
