Police hunt man after attack that left victim needing surgery

A 21-year-old man was attacked in Café Zeus in Lancaster Road, Preston city centre, between 2am and 3am on Saturday, April 7.The victim, from the Preston area, was punched in the face, suffering a fractured eye socket. He later needed surgery at Royal Preston Hospital. PC Matt Butcher, of Lancashire Police, said: “This was a particularly nasty assault which left the victim requiring corrective surgery to realign his eye and eye socket. “We have conducted a number of enquiries and would like to speak to this man in connection with the offence.” Anyone with information can call 101. contact police on 101 quoting crime reference SA1806301.
