Police are appealing for information following a burglary in Walton-Le-Dale.

The incident happened between 8.45am and 3.45pm on Tuesday 7 March at a property on Hennel Lane.

Anyone with information is urged to contact police on 101 quoting crime reference number SA1703222.

Spokesman for Lancashire Police Sgt Hesketh said: "Between 8:45am and 3:45pm yesterday, a house on Hennel Lane, Walton-Le-Dale was broken into and a "Santa Cruz" bicycle, along with other items, were stolen whilst the occupier was out.

"If you've seen the bike, know anything about it, or have any information that may assist PC 2742 Anderson in his investigation, please call 101 and quote crime reference number SA1703222.

"As ever, I appeal directly to the person(s) responsible and encourage you to do the right thing, come forward and speak with us.
