A pensioner has appeared in court accused of a string of 25 historic sexual offences against four youngsters.
Clifford Brett, of Louise Road, Northampton, was arrested by police and appeared before Preston Crown Court for a preliminary hearing.
The 66-year-old is accused of offences in Lancashire dating between September 1998 and June 2000.
He is charged with four counts of raping a boy under 16, six counts of indecently assaulting him and four of committing gross indecency towards him over the same period.
He also faces two counts of raping another boy, and five of indecently assaulting him.
He is also charged with two counts indecently assaulting a girl in Preston, and two of indecently assaulting another girl in Coventry.
All of the alleged victims, who cannot be named for legal reasons, were under 16 at the time.
