Parbold murder probe: Investigation continues after 17-year-old charged with murder

Detectives investigating the shocking death of a teenager in Parbold are continuing their appeal for information after charging a 17-year-old with murder.

The appeal came as part of Lancashire Police's investigation into the murder of 18-year-old Alex Davies from Skelmersdale, whose body was found in woodlands on Parbold Hill last Wednesday. He had not been seen since last Monday, April 29.

On, Friday, detectives arrested a 17-year-old boy on suspicion of murder, and later charged him with murder and possessing a knife. He will appear at Preston Crown Court tomorrow (Wednesday, May 8).

Detectives are continuing their investigation and are keen to speak to anyone with dashboard mounted camera footage from the Parbold Hill area. Officers want footage from motorists of any cyclists, particularly those riding mountain bikes, between 1pm and 5.30pm on Monday, April 29.
