A pensioner has appeared in court over allegations he sexually assaulted a woman in Preston on October 24.
Thomas Vallentine Mullarkey, of Church Street, Preston city centre, is also accused pursuing a course of conduct constituting harassment in respect of a woman in the city.
It is alleged he used lewd language and inappropriate gestures to her between July and November this year.
The 76-year-old, who denies both the offences, has been remanded into custody by the bench at Preston Magistrates’ Court following his first appearance in the dock.
The case was committed to be dealt with at Preston Crown Court where he is next expected to appear on December 15.
