Emma Lowe’s sons Arthur and Alfie both suffer from Down’s Syndrome and have difficulty walking.

The three-year-olds loved being towed at the back of a bike in their double buggy.

Now it has been stolen from the family’s outhouse at their home in Treales, near Preston.

Emma posted an appeal on Facebook and has been inundated with messages of support.

Emma said today: “We’ve had such a great response. I don’t know whether whoever has taken it realises how much they have taken away from my sons.”

Emma said the buggy was bought for the twins so they could be part of family bike rides.

When the family checked their outhouse earlier this week it had vanished.

Emma said: “My boys can’t ride a bike and I would like to ask the person who’s taken their fun bike rides away from them” to please return it .

“Both my boys have a disability and would like it returned back to them ASAP so they can join us on our family bike rides.”

“Whoever has taken it needs to understand...they have
taken a little bit of normality and fun from two little boys who don’t walk or are able to ride a bike with their mummy and older brothers.”

The buggy is blue and black in colour and was worth around £350.

Police have been informed.
