Morecambe drug dealer had crack cocaine and heroin

A drug dealer who admitted offences more than 18 months ago will be sentenced in October.

Paul Evans, of Hawthorn Street, Audenshaw, Manchester, was caught red handed with heroin and crack cocaine in Morecambe, Preston Crown Court heard.

The offences dates back to December 18, 2018, and Evans made admissions soon after, but it took until January this year to send him a postal requisition - summons - to attend court.

He has since pleaded guilty to two counts of possession with intent to supply class A drugs in the resort.

During his plea hearing the court was told the 42-year-old had no previous drug convictions.

Judge Simon Newell ordered a pre sentence report and adjourned the case to October 28.

He warned the defendant the case could attract a custodial sentence.
