Missing woman last seen on Royal Preston Hospital ward found

An urgent appeal was launched to find a missing woman who walked out of Royal Preston Hospital as she was "receiving treatment".

A 45-year-old woman walked out of Royal Preston Hospital where she was "receiving treatment" this morning (May 14).

She was last seen on the hospital ward at around 9am, according to police.

Police are were growing increasingly concerned for her welfare and launched a public appeal to help find her.

Officers have now confirmed the woman has been found and is back in hospital.

A spokesperson for Lancashire Police said: "The 45-year-old who went missing from Royal Preston Hospital at around 9am this morning has been found and is now back at the hospital receiving treatment."
