Police believe a missing teen might be in the Preston area.

Greater Manchester police have launched an appeal to find a missing teenager from Wythenshawe.

Shanice Romanienko, 17, was last seen on Wednesday 2 September 2015 when she left her home address on Royal Thorn Avenue in Wythenshawe to go to her local shops at 6.45pm.

She is described as white, slim, with blue eyes and red hair. She is 5ft 3in tall and was last seen wearing a light grey/blue army pattern Puffa jacket, blue leggings and black trainers.

She was also wearing a distinctive light grey and dark grey striped t-shirt with a large picture of a white skull and a large pink bow on the front.

Detective Constable Lee Fisher said: “Shanice’s family are extremely concerned for her safety and welfare.

“While she is 17-years-old, Shanice is described as being vulnerable and is believed to have no money on her or access to any.

“We would ask if anyone has seen her over the last couple of days or has any information about her whereabouts that they get in contact with police.”

Anyone with information should call police on 0161 856 8009 or 101.
