Three men wearing balaclavas entered the Spar on Alder Drive at around 9.50pm on Tuesday, October 17.

Police say the men, who were armed with a meat cleaver and a metal bar, then demanded cash from the shop worker.

The member of staff was headbutted during the incident.

The men are reported to have made off with a significant amount of cash.

A police spokesman said: "We are appealing for information after a shop worker was held up at a Spar.

"Three men wearing balaclavas entered the shop and demanded cash.

"They were armed with a metal bar and a meat cleaver."

The extent of the shopworker's injuries are currently unknown.
