Hide AdSpokesman for Lancashire Police Steve Bradshaw said: "We were called to an incident at a newsagent early this morning. It appears that a man was threatened with a make-shift weapon. We believe that the offender was wearing a high visibility jacket, a blue hooded jacket and a black baseball cap that obscured he face. The robber stole around £30-50.
"Understandably, the man was very shaken up by this incident. We are now appealing for anyone who noticed any suspicious activity in the area at that time to get in touch with us."
Nobody was injured during the robbery.
