Officers in Chorley have launched a manhunt after two cars were stolen "by means of burglary", say police.

A black Jaguar and a white Audi TT were taken following burglaries at an address in Parkers Wood Close in Chorley in the early hours of April 24.

Police pursued the Jaguar which was later found in the Whittle-le-Woods area where three offenders made off from the scene.

The Police Dogs Unit and helicopter were called in to assist with the search but officers were unable to locate the offenders.

The Audi was later recovered in Preston.

Inspector for Chorley Police Andy Hill said: "We have had a number of break-ins in the Chorley area where thieves have targeted high-performance cars.

"Two vehicles, an Audi and a Jaguar, had been taken from an address in Parkers Wood Close.

"Officers later pursued the Jaguar but the chase was called off.

"The car was later spotted the Coppull area near to the Shore Hill Golf Club where three offenders wearing dark clothing made off from the scene."
