A man accused of breaking in to a prison with a huge haul of drugs and illegal contraband has made his first appearance at court.
Shaun Murray is alleged to have climbed the walls at Kirkham Prison and left the prohibited goods for inmates.
Murray, 36, of Billy Row Green, Billy Row, Crook, County Durham, is charged with taking six different types of drugs into the jail, including cannabis and anabolic steroids.
He is also alleged to have taken into the prison 12 mobile phones, 16 sim cards, four bottles of vodka and one bottle of Jack Daniels whisky.
The offences are said to have taken place on November 2 last year.
Prosecutor, Pam Smith, asked for the case to be heard at crown court. Defence lawyer, Peter Cave, said his client had indicated he would plead not guilty to the offences.
Murray was bailed to appear at Preston Crown Court on May 13.
