Man hospitalised with head injuries after assault in Penwortham pub
A 25-year-old man has been taken to hospital with head injuries after being assaulted in a Penwortham pub.

The man was attacked last night (Thursday December 27) shortly before 10pm, near the bar area of the Fleece Inn in Liverpool Road, Penwortham.
Paramedics attended and treated the man at the scene before he was stretchered out of the busy pub. He was taken to hospital but later discharged.
No arrests have been made but police said enquiries are 'ongoing'.

A police spokesman said: "We were called at shortly before 10pm on Thursday by the ambulance service to a report that a 25-year-old man had been assaulted and suffered a head injury at The Fleece Inn, Liverpool Road at Penwortham.
"He was taken to hospital but later discharged. Enquiries are on-going."
