A man who downloaded indecent images of children has been ordered to sign the Sex Offender’s Register for five years.

Mark Austin, of Balmoral Crescent, Knuzden, Blackburn, committed the offences in Higher Walton, near Preston, on, or before, May 2016.
The 47-year-old admitted three charges of making indecent images during an appearance before Preston Crown Court.

Hide AdThey relate to 83 photographs deemed Category A - the most serious in law - with a further 211 at category B and 1,002 at category C.
He was sentenced to a 12 month community order with a rehabilitation activity requirement, and a five year sexual harm prevention order.
The court forfeited his laptop, USB stick and mobile phone.
