Man dies after falling from Avenham car park in Preston

Police have confirmed a man has died after falling from Avenham car park in Preston.

Police and paramedics were called to reports a person had fallen from the multi-storey building on Syke Street at around 1:55pm today (April 15).

The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The man’s family has been informed and a file has been passed to the coroner.

The Force Incident Manager for Lancashire Constabulary said: "A person has died after falling from a car park in Avenham.

"We're not treating it as suspicious at this time."

Police are unable to release any more information about the incident at this time.
