A 42-year-old man has died at Royal Preston Hospital after he was hit by a car in one of a series of road accidents at a caravan park in Heysham last weekend.
Lancashire Police say Paul Clark died in hospital on Saturday, and a post mortem will take place in due course.
Two other people escaped with minor injuries in accidents thought to be caused by the same vehicle, after an incident at the Ocean Edge Caravan Park.
William O’Mara was arrested after police were called at about 7pm on Saturday, September 20 following a report that a 32-year-old woman had sustained serious head injuries during an assault at the Ocean Edge caravan park.
She was treated in hospital and released.
A short time after the assault a 42-year-old man sustained serious head injuries when he was struck at the entrance to the caravan park by a dark coloured Ford Fusion being driven from the scene of the first assault.
He later died in hospital.
At about 7.15pm a 53-year-old man walking his dog was injured when he was struck by what is believed to be the same car at Half Moon Bay.
And at about 7.30pm a 36 year old woman driving a Peugeot 207 also suffered minor injuries when her car was involved in a collision with a Ford Fusion, again thought to be the same car involved in the earlier incidents.
O’Mara was charged with four counts of attempted murder wounding with intent, two counts of grievous bodily harm with intent, assault on a constable and failure to provide a specimen for analysis.
The 45-year-old of Norland Drive, Heysham will appear before Preston Crown Court on the October 8.
Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to get in touch.
