Man charged after weapons, drugs and cash seized during police raid in Preston

A man has been charged with possession with intent to supply after Class A drugs, weapons and cash were seized during a police raid in Preston.

Officers searched a property in the Ashton/Plungington area of the city under the Misuse of Drugs Act yesterday (July 2).

A picture of the haul released by police appears to show a knuckleduster along with various containers of Class A drugs, small grip seal bags and a stack of £10 notes.

Police have now confirmed Ryan Brown, 37, has been charged with possession of a Class A drug with intent to supply.

He is due to appear before Preston magistrates in due course.

A spokesman for Lancashire Police said: "Yesterday we told you about a drugs warrant we executed at an address in the Ashton/Plungington area of Preston.

"We can now confirm that Ryan Brown, 37, of Hall Street, Preston, has been charged with possession of a Class A drug with intent to supply.

"This warrant comes again as a result of information from you the community."

A 35-year-old woman from Preston was also arrested on suspicion of possessing a Class A drug with intent to supply.

She has since been released under investigation.
