Man arrested on suspicion of 'attempted murder' in Leyland
A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder in Leyland after a woman was found with injuries to her neck, say police.

Officers were called at 1.30am on Thursday April 26 to reports of a serious assault on West Paddock in Leyland. Police say a 19-year-old woman was found with strangulation type injuries to her neck and was taken to Royal Preston Hospital where she is receiving treatment.
Her condition is described as stable.
Dogs were used to help detain the man at the scene while emergency services gave first aid to the woman.
A spokesman for the police said: "We were called to reports of a serious assault in Leyland.
"An injured woman was found at the scene.
"A 20-year-old man from Leyland has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and remains in police custody. "Both parties are believed to be known to each other and there is not thought to be any threat to the wider public."
