Longridge man charged with fraud

A 72-year-old Longridge man has appeared before Blackburn magistrates charged in connection with an alleged £85,000 Royal Mail fraud.

John Pickup, of Forty Acre Lane, faces three charges relating to his company, Eurogrant Limited.

He is charged with obtaining mail services by deceptively representing they had or would be paid for, making a false representation and possessing 14,000 envelopes for use in connection with fraud. He was bailed to Preston Crown Court.
