Landlord Nabeel Tabarik, 29, of Wheelton Lane, Farington, has been ordered to pay fines and costs totalling £3,600 after pleading guilty to seven offences following a prosecution brought by South Ribble Council.
Officers visited a property owned by Tabarik in Preston Road, Leyland, last year following a complaint about the rear yard. During the visit it was discovered the house was in multiple occupation, which it was not licenced for.
Tabarik was told to apply for an appropriate licence and make urgent safety improvements.
He failed to meet two separate deadlines to carry out the work, which resulted in the prosecution.
The work was finally carried out in May.
