'Large' cannabis farm discovered in Preston by police working alongside fire crews

A 'large' cannabis farm was uncovered by police following a drugs raid at a property in Preston.

A drugs raid was conducted at a property in Preston following information provided by the local community, police confirmed on social media yesterday (September 24).

Images from the scene show firefighters cutting through a metal shutter with a circular saw to help officers gain access to the premises - which is reportedly located in Andrew Street.

A "large" cannabis grow was discovered once police were inside.

A spokesman for Lancashire Police said: "Preston Neighbourhood Taskforce have again located another large cannabis grow with the help of are friends at NW fire service.

"This is again a result of the local community giving us the information to fight organised crime."

Officers have not yet confirmed whether anyone has been arrested as a result of the raid.

Lancashire Police have been approached for further comment.
