Stolen car in accident
Gavin Openshaw, 19, of Ryelands Crescent, Ashton-on-Ribble, Preston, admits allowing himself to be carried in a vehicle that had been unlawfully taken and in which an accident occurred.
Preston magistrates banned him from driving for 12 months and ordered him to do 40 hours unpaid work after hearing damage had been caused to a garden wall when the car crashed.
He must also pay a £60 surcharge.
PRESTON: A man has been jailed for 18 weeks after he was found guilty of assault.
Paul Browning, 45, of Fylde Road, Preston, and was given a restraining order after a trial at Preston Magistrates’ Court
The bench said the offence was aggravated by previous offending and ordered him to pay an £80 surcharge and £150 court charge.
PRESTON: Jack Swain, 23, of Ambleside Road, Brookfield, admits possessing cocaine.
Preston magistrates heard on April 5 he had 13 individual wraps containing 1.55 grams in total, and imposed a rehabilitation requirement, 80 hours unpaid work, and must pay a £60 surcharge, £85 costs and £180 court charge.
PRESTON: Ryan Reneghan, 22, of no fixed abode, admits damaging a bar and a till belonging to a woman.
Magistrates discharged him for 12 months but ordered him to pay £310 compensation, a £15 surcharge and £85 costs.
LEYLAND: Angela Cayton, 28, of Leyton Avenue, Leyland, was found guilty of having a dog off the lead on a public highway.
She was convicted of failing to put her dog on a lead when asked by an enforcement officer, and failed to give details.
Preston magistrates ordered her to pay a £330 fine, £33 surcharge, £85 costs and a £150 court charge.
PRESTON: Ian Biggar, 31, of Station Road, Bamber Bridge, admits taking a car unlawfully and used it without insurance or a licence.
Magistrates, who heard he committed the offence in a Fiat Ducato in Leyland, ordered him to do 200 hours unpaid work and pay £2,699 compensation, a £60 surcharge, and £85 costs
FRECKLETON: Anthony O’Kelly, 33, of Chatsworth Road, St Anne’s, received a restraining order after admitting assaulting a woman in Freckleton and must pay a £10 fine, £60 surcharge, and £100 costs.
Michael Peck, 24, of Eastbourne Close, Ingol, Preston, was discharged conditionally for 12 months after admitting possessing cannabis and must pay a £15 surcharge, £85 costs and a £180 court charge.
Richard Smith, 47, of Harrison Road, Adlington, Chorley, was banned for 18 months after admitting drink driving and must pay a £260 fine, £26 surcharge, £85 costs and a £150 court charge.
Michael Rafferty, 28, of Meanygate, Bamber Bridge, must do 80 hours unpaid work after admitting assault and must pay a £60 surcharge, £85 costs and a £150 court charge.
Farrell Bibby, 21, of Leyland Road, Penwortham, Preston, admits driving without insurance and must pay a £20 surcharge, £85 costs and a £150 court charge.
Peter Ainsley, 46, of no fixed abode, admits being drunk and disorderly and must pay a £73 fine, £20 surcharge, £85 costs and £150 court charge.
Michael Brimmitt, 47, of Throstle Grove, Slyne, Lancaster, was bound over for 12 months in the sum of £200 after admitting breaching the peace.
Michael Hesketh, 30, of Buckshaw Hall Road, Astley Village, Chorley, was bound over for six months in the sum of £50 after admitting breaching the peace.

Aaron Simmonds, 27, of Hala Road, Lancaster, admits not paying a train fare and must pay a £280 fine, £8.60 compensation, a £28 surcharge and £125 costs.
Lisa Tempany, 31, of St Cuthbert’s Street, Burnley, was given a restraining order after admitting using threatening behaviour in Preston and must pay a £15 surcharge, £85 costs and a £150 court charge.
