A MAN who stole machinery parts from a Preston firm has been given a suspended jail term.
Preston Magistrates’ Court imposed a 12-month conditional discharge on Dennis Edwin Ogden, of Hawes Side Lane, Blackpool, after he admitted theft from company J.Cornthwaites.
The bench was told he had suffered mental health issues.
He must pay a £15 victim surcharge and £85 prosecution costs.
CHORLEY: Roy Kirkham, 48, of Lang Copse, Chorley, was found guilty of assaulting a woman after a trial.
Blackpool Magistrates’ Court heard he had caused a “minor injury” to the victim during an incident in Mawdesley, near Chorley, in April.
He was ordered to pay a £440 fine, with a £44 victim surcharge and £850 prosecution costs.
PRESTON: A woman found with a kitchen knife at Preston Police Station has admitted possessing a bladed article.
Nicola Gray, 31, of The Paddock, Fulwood, Preston, was ordered to have drug treatment by magistrates.
She was given a residence requirement, rehabilitation activity and must pay £85 costs.
PRESTON: Anthony Speariett, 32, of Churchill Road, Fulwood, admits stealing two Karcher window vacs worth £100.00, from Wilkinson and was ordered to pay £100 compensation and a £60 surcharge by Preston magistrates.
PRESTON: Anthony Fenton, 47, of Ash Court, Clifton, near Preston, was jailed for 22 weeks after magistrates heard he drove while disqualified and uninsured, and failed to give a breath test.
He admitted three offences to Blackpool magistrates and must pay a £115 surcharge. The bench said the case was more serious due to similar offending.
PRESTON: Motorist Liam Alexander Bain, 27, of Turpin Green, Leyland, admitted two counts of possessing cocaine and one of failing to give a breath test in a hearing before Preston Magistrates’ Court.
The benhc gave him 12 weeks in prison, suspended for 12 months, and a 36 month driving ban.
PRESTON: Andrew Singleton, 52, of Long Moss Meadows, New Longton, was found to have breached the peace in Preston.
He was bound over for six months in the sum of £50.
Ash Williamson, 27, of Halliwell Road, Bolton, admits being drunk and disorderly in Chorley and must pay a £80 fine, £20 surcharge and 385 costs.
Capricorn Quinn, 27, of Vale Road, Lancaster, was banned for 36 months after admitting drink driving and must pay a £300 fine, £30 surcharge and £85 costs.
David Rambridge, 63, of De Lacy Street, Ashton-on-Ribble, Preston, was found guilty of failing to give driver information and must pay a £660 fine, £66 surcharge and £85 costs.
Terrance Taylor, 43, of Westfield, Lostock Hall, was discharged for 12 months after admitting stealing an electronic paint sprayer, and must pay a £15 surcharge and £85 costs.
Martin Potts, 41, of Cosford Street, Weeton, Preston, was found guilty of failing to give driver information and must pay a £660 fine, £66 surcharge and £85 costs.
Raphael Saghatchi-Moghaddam, 18, of Clifton Drive, Morecambe, was found guilty of driving without insurance and must pay a £660 fine, £66 surcharge and £85 costs.
Shannon Whittaker, 40, of Three Nooks, Clayton Brook, Chorley, was found guilty of failing to give driver information and must pay a £660 fine, £66 surcharge and £85 costs.
Kyle Shaun Woodburne, 30, of Great Meadow, Chorley, was banned for 48 months and given 75 days suspended for 12 months after admitting failing to give a breath test and must pay a £115 surcharge and £85 costs.
James Brown Colton, 54, of no fixed abode, was discharged for 12 months after admitting stealing trainers from Primark, but must pay a £20 surcharge.
Peter Geoffrey Ashworth, 36, of Alston Street, Preston, was banned for 40 months after being found guilty of drink driving and must pay a £180 fine, £30 surcharge and £100 costs.
