Kirkham couple face trial over alleged child abuse offences in Chorley
An elderly couple have appeared in court accused of indecently assaulting a boy in Chorley in the 1980s.
Aaron Clifford Walter Blake, 68, is accused of one count of indecently assaulting the youngster with his wife, Olive, 74.
Mr Blake is accused of a further five indecent assaults on a boy under 14 - one of which allegedly involves rubbing the child's body in red paint - and a charge of taking an indecent photograph.
Mrs Blake is also accused of taking an indecent photograph relating to a second boy.
The couple, of Crofts Close, Kirkham, Preston, previously entered not guilty pleas to all of the allegations and should have appeared for trial on July 27, but this cannot go ahead due to delays caused by the pandemic.
During a hearing before Preston Crown Court Judge Philip Parry directed a new trial date of July 5, 2021, with a pre trial review on May 7.
