Investigation after suspicious fire in Preston

An investigation has been launched after a crews attended a suspicious fire in Preston, say fire services.

Firefighters were alerted to a car fire on George Street in Preston just before 1am on August 17.

A spokesman for the fire service said: "One fire engine from Preston was called to a fire involving a car on the road.

"Firefighters used one hose reel and one breathing apparatus set to extinguish the fire which is believed to have been started deliberately."

No one was injured in the incident.
