A naked runner jumped into bushes to get dressed, after being seen by spotted in Leyland’s Worden Park.

Police are now appealing for information about the incident, which happened at about 4.15pm on Wednesday, July 2, when a 32-year-old woman out walking her dog saw the naked man running on the opposite side of the river.

She said: “I was shocked at first, then thought maybe there was something wrong with him and wondered if he was ok.

“I stood and watched him run into the bushes, and then thought he might be performing a sex act.

“Knowing it was a dead-end on the other side of the river I thought he might run back, so I stood watching him fumble about in the bushes.

“After a few minutes I carried on walking and rang my partner. After a short walk I turned round and he was running back on the opposite side of the river but clothed.

“I didn’t feel threatened or scared but did have my two dogs, a staffie and a chihuahua with me. However, I did make my way up to where it was more public.”

The man is described as white and wearing a blue or grey t-shirt and red shorts.

The public space has seen a string of ‘flashers’ and sex offences over the past 20 years, including an incident involving a teenager comitting a sex act infront of two 12-year-olds last year.

Call police on 101 quoting log number 1089 of July 2.
