Preston City Council instructed workmen to remove the graffiti shortly after it was reported and it has since been washed away.
Councillor Matthew Brown, Leader of Preston City Council, has pledged that they will continue supporting families suffering from food poverty.
He said: “We are disappointed by graffiti damage that has been done to Preston Town Hall and Sessions House last night.
